Detoxaholic is back with the #YYT (Yummy Yeah Tuesday) celebration! Showing love to two new school vocalists that are providing their personalized vibes of next generation soul music. In addition to their undeniable talent, their unique, laid back swag are capturing the hearts of their ever-evolving fan base.
First, we’re showing love to Bronx, NY native Tish Hyman. This singer, MC,and songwriter started her career as a battle rapper in New York. To date, she has landed her writing gifts to major artists such as Kanye West, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, and a host of others. Tish initially created major buzz back in 2015 with her vulnerably soulful track “Subway Art”. In July 2016, she released her critically acclaimed debut EP entitled
“Dedicated To”. Her EP is the perfect soundtrack to winding down after a long day of work. I’m totally inspired by her grind, lyrics, and flawless chocolate skin! To get familiar with Ms. Tish Hyman visit her website.
Next, we’re showing love to super wavy Ro James. This new school R&B crooner has a well-blended sound that pays homage to traditional soul music while expanding the sonic boundaries of the genre. Although his family tides are in New York City, he proudly reps New York, Indiana, and Los Angeles. This singer song writer has worked with the likes of Miguel, Luke James, Wynter Gordon, and more. Mr. James first caught attention of audiences back in 2013 with his three-part EP project entitled: Coke, Jack and Cadillacs. His debut album El Dorado, released May 2016, has been sending major waves especially amongst his female fans. I’m totally obsessed with his his album. I listen to it almost everyday and my favorite tracks are “Already Knew That” and “Holy Water”. His vibe is a perfect blend of traditional soul, naughty lyrics, and self reflection. This project definitely gets the #detoxstamp! To get more familiar with Ro James visit his website.
