Natural Beauty

Hey beautiful people! I want to share with you some of my favorite beauty obsessions, products, and regimens with you all. I’ll be focusing on skin, makeup, and hair.

Unfortunately, I have not been blessed with perfect skin. My skin is very sensitive and oily, so I have to carefully research products and regimens that will agree with my skin type. My skin does change with age and I have used over-the-counter products, and prescription. I even tried the almighty Proactive Solutions. It definitely did wonders for my skin, but on my long list of monthly bills its wonder can lose importance very quickly.

Presently, I finally found products and a regimen that has my skin glowing and financially friendly to my pockets. My daily skin regimen is using Clean & Clear sensitive skin formula daily face wash and toner astringent. Please believe you can use the store-brand version of this product because it works the same to me. To moisturize my skin, I just started using Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Defense Lotion. I also use their on-the-spot treatment for isolated skin issues. About twice a week I give myself an all-natural facial. I mix about 1 or 2 teaspoons of honey mix with naturally squeezed lemon juice. I keep that on my face for about 10 minutes and then wash off with warm water. Next, I use flat cotton rounds to apply liquid egg whites all over my face. I also let that settle into my skin for 10 minutes, and wash off with warm water. Last, I take baking soda and mix a little water until baking soda has a slightly soften and muddy texture. I apply that all over my face and settle for 10 minutes and wash off with warm water.

My makeup regimen is pretty simple. Daily, I use Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer to cover the dark marks on my face, and then I apply their Stay-matte sheer pressed powder that helps with my shiny skin. I also use their Perfectly Real compact makeup powder foundation, but not on a daily basis; usually for going out at night or to an event.

Now it’s time for hair talk. I have natural hair, so maintaining moisture is a top priority. Right now, I’m totally obsessed with Crème of Nature’s Argan Oil from Morocco line. I use the moisture and shine shampoo, intensive conditioning treatment, and Argan oil moisturizer. From the beginning, I instantly noticed that it keeps my hair softer and moisturized for a longer period of time.

I love having natural hair because I am open to various hairstyles. I mostly keep a textured, rodded afro style. But I tend to do blow outs in the Fall/Winter and braids in the summer. That’s all I have for now, but I want to hear some of your health and beauty regimens. Leave a comment, and always remember, knowledge is power!
